The Kelton Hughes Podcast

I’m Kelton Hughes, an American prophetic minister now based in Romania. My heart is to equip believers to walk in spiritual authority, understand the reality of the spiritual realm, and live led by the Holy Spirit.

In this podcast, I teach on spiritual warfare, the prophetic, the gifts of the Spirit, hearing God’s voice, deliverance, and how to grow in discernment. My goal is to help you not only understand these things biblically but also learn how to walk them out in your everyday life.

Each episode is designed to challenge, equip, and activate you to step into the calling God has placed on your life. If you're hungry to grow spiritually, develop the gifts of the Spirit, and learn how to stand strong in spiritual warfare, you’re in the right place.

What if the doors opening for you in ministry aren't from God? What if the worship gathering you loved was just... too safe?
In Part 2 of "Challenging the Culture," Kelton Hughes sits down again with Prophetess Patricia Meleg for a raw, unfiltered conversation about what's really going on in modern ministry, the hunger for platforms, the lack of accountability, the identity crisis behind the microphone, and what it actually costs to say yes to Jesus in this generation.
This one will challenge you. It might even offend you. But it's the conversation our generation needs to have.

What does it look like to stay faithful when everything around you looks like it’s falling apart?
In this powerful conversation, Patricia Meleg shares the real story behind leading ministry in Romania, navigating spiritual resistance, people leaving, opposition, loneliness, and the cost of building something rooted in the Presence of God.
Together with Kelton Hughes, this conversation dives into the unseen battles of ministry, the pressure to choose comfort over conviction, and what it truly means to follow Jesus in a generation that often wants convenience over surrender.
“The numbers did not increase… but the Presence did.”
This is an honest conversation for leaders, worshippers, intercessors, and anyone walking through resistance while trying to stay obedient to what God called them to build.

You pray. You fast. You show up every Sunday. And still, nothing moves.
The problem isn't your faith. The problem is that spiritual authority doesn't come from intensity — it comes from alignment. And if there are areas in your life where you're not fully aligned with God, your prayers don't carry the weight you think they do. No matter how loud you get.
In this episode, we get into the things most people don't want to hear: how compromise quietly strips your authority, why demons look for legal access in your life, and how the enemy uses your own choices against you — often in areas you've convinced yourself don't really matter.
We also talk about the connection between submission and power — because you can't walk in authority over the enemy if you're not under authority yourself. That's not a popular message. But it's a true one.

God isn't just raising people who can see — He's raising watchmen who will take responsibility for what they see.
Most people want the revelation. Few are willing to carry the weight that comes with it. In this message, we dive deep into what it truly means to be a watchman in this hour. Not just someone who discerns, dreams, or receives revelation — but someone who responds. Because revelation without responsibility becomes neglect.
If you've been sensing more in the spirit lately — stronger dreams, deeper prayers, a weight you can't fully explain — this message is for you. God may already be showing you things. But the real question is: what are you doing with what you see?
In this teaching, we cover:
- The true role of a watchman- Why seeing is not enough- The responsibility of intercession, protection, and warning- What spiritual maturity actually looks like in this season
We are not called to sit back and observe darkness. We are called to respond, to pray, to stand, and to shift what's coming. It's time to stop watching from the sidelines.
It's time to take your position.
If this message spoke to you, share it with someone who needs this reminder. Let there be a generation that doesn't just see — but acts.

Some of the hardest things you face don’t look like problems at first. You speak clearly, with the right heart and intention… and still get misunderstood. Not once, but repeatedly—until you start questioning yourself.
But what if the issue isn’t what you said, but what happens after?
In this episode, we expose Leviathan—what operates behind the scenes to twist communication, distort perception, and block truth from being received. Because this doesn’t just affect what is said, but how it’s heard.
You can speak truth and still not be received. And the more you try to fix it with words, the more exhausting it becomes.
This is an invitation to step out of over-explaining and into discernment—recognizing when pride, offense, and assumptions are shaping the narrative.
Because not every misunderstanding is a communication issue. Some things need to be exposed before they can be broken.

Many people want to hear God. Few are prepared to carry what He says.In this episode, Kelton Hughes opens up one of the most avoided conversations in prophetic culture — the cost. Not the gift, not the glory, not the highlight reel of hearing God's voice. The actual weight of carrying revelation that others don't yet see, don't yet understand, and sometimes don't yet believe.
Through Jeremiah 20:9 and Amos 3:7, we look at what it means to have the word of God burning inside you like fire in your bones — and what it demands of you to steward it faithfully through isolation, misunderstanding, delay, and silence. God will show you things early. He will ask you to remain steady while others don't see it yet. He will ask you to stay faithful without validation, without explanation, without the comfort of being understood.
Many want the voice of God. Not many want the cost of carrying it. If you cannot carry silence, you cannot carry revelation.

Many believers today are hearing voices, receiving words, and stepping into things that seem spiritual, yet not everything they encounter is actually coming from God. The danger in this season is not that God has stopped speaking, but that many have not developed the discernment to recognize what is truly from Him.
In Episode 4, we go deeper into what it means to sharpen your discernment and begin to look beyond just what is being said, into where it is coming from. Because discernment is not suspicion or fear, but the Spirit of God revealing what is behind the words you hear. In this message, you will begin to understand why not every voice that sounds spiritual is from God, how to recognize the true source behind what you’re hearing, and the difference between something being accurate and something being spiritually pure.
We also talk about the different sources from which words can come and why so many believers are being led astray without even realizing it. This episode will help you move beyond simply hearing and into truly discerning, learning to test what you receive instead of accepting everything that sounds right.
Without discernment, even the most spiritual believer can be led astray, but when your discernment is sharpened, it will not only guide you, it will protect your life, your calling, and everything God has placed in your hands.

Many believers pray every day yet still feel like heaven is silent, not because God isn’t speaking, but because we’ve never truly learned how to tune in to His voice. In Episode 3, Hearing the Voice of God (Breaking the Silence & Hearing Clearly), Kelton Hughes dives into one of the most essential and transformative parts of your relationship with God: recognizing and hearing His voice in a real, personal way.
This isn’t something reserved for a select few, but the normal life of every believer. In this episode, you’ll begin to understand why hearing God’s voice is not rare but expected, what may have been blocking you from recognizing it, and how God actually speaks, often in ways much quieter and deeper than we anticipate. Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice,” which means this was never meant to be complicated, but natural.
This conversation will help you step out of confusion, noise, and doubt, and into clarity, intimacy, and a real, daily communion with Him, and if you stay until the end, there’s a powerful activation moment designed to help you begin hearing His voice starting today.
